New Balance Athletic Shoes (HK) Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary of New Balance Athletic Shoe Inc. (Boston, USA).

New Balance Hong Kong was established in 1983, and soon became the regional office for Asia. Although the regional office moved to Singapore in the 1990's, Hong Kong's focus was still on the sales and marketing of the brand in the local market place. The first concept store was opened back in 1983, and gave customers an American experience as the main product sold was the USA-made collection.

Through the 1980's and 1990's, the business has grown steadily in footwear. The significant growth has been during the last 4 years, where NBHK opened 3 NB stores and increased its focus on grass root events and introduced more depth in the apparel collection.

During 2004 NB Hong Kong's role in the region became more apparent. Investment from Boston saw the Hong Kong office expand to include three more divisions to the local team. The new teams to join the HK sales team included Global Sourcing, Regional Apparel Development, and Regional Marketing. A new regional office was set up for all four divisions in 2004 as staff numbers grew from 12 to 30.

Hong Kong is now the regional office covering Asia Pacific with apparel development, sales, marketing and sourcing.
